Nice, um, cucumber!

A friend showed me his copy of the new In the Raw calendar, and what can I say? It's pretty ballsy.

Ken and Lee Singh are the charming couple who run the all-natural Singh Farms -- a 20-acre wonderland where their composting efforts have created nutrient-rich soil for fresh veggies beloved by local chefs. They've somehow sweet-talked a bunch of kitchen talent into peeling off those chef jackets for an eye-opening new calendar.

Shot on the scenic farm, the photos feature chefs who've all volunteered their time to cook at the Singh's weekly market, 8900 E. Thomas Rd.

Here's the rundown of who posed for the project:

Chris Bailey (Taggia at Firesky Resort)
Aurore de Beauduy (Vogue Bistro)
Jay Bogsinske, Matt Carter & Rochelle Daniel (Zinc Bistro & The Mission)
Tammie Coe & MJ (Tammie Coe Cakes & MJ Breads)
Payton J. Curry (Caffe Boa & Caffe Boa Bistro)
Taylor Domet (Heirloom, An American Restaurant)
Lee Hillson (T. Cook's Royal Palms Resort & Spa)
Jared Porter (The Parlor)
Comer & Robyn Smith (Cielo, Hotel Theodore)
Michael Stebner (True Food Kitchen)
Charles Wiley (Café ZuZu at the Hotel Valley Ho)

Pick up a copy at ($14.95) Singh Farms, or at local Borders (I spotted a stack at the Scottsdale Waterfront location). A portion of the proceeds will go to Scottsdale League for the Arts, the American Red Cross' Haiti relief effforts, and the American Diabetes Association.
