3. The Vale

For Tempe urbanites seeking a more modern feel, The Vale condos and lofts look very appealing. This contemporary complex located along University Drive, between Beck Avenue and Hardy Drive, features both retail and residential spaces. Designed by architect Will Bruder, this "loft village" offers a lap pool, jacuzzi, fitness center, private balconies and patios, and industrial storage units ideal for keeping your minimalist space, well, minimal. Inside lofts are spacious with plenty of natural lighting and include private patios, a second story dwelling space, carpet, and first-floor kitchenette. Estimated leasing ranges $950 to $1050 for studios, $1,100 to $1,295 for a one-bedroom, and $1,300 to $1,600 for two bedrooms. For more information, visit www.valecondos.com.
