When we last put the spotlight on 100 creative forces in Phoenix, it was no secret there were more than 100 individuals who were making waves in the local arts community. So as we count down to our annual Best of Phoenix issue, we're profiling 100 more. Welcome (back) to 100 Creatives.

If you're quick enough to catch a mural in progress in downtown Phoenix, you're likely to spot Niba DelCastillo.

The self-taught photographer moved to Phoenix last November from Tucson. He says he explored the city through finding street art and graffiti to photograph (though he's a little camera shy himself). He's part of the visual driving force of local graffiti/taco website PHXTACO, where he documents fresh paint by local artists all over the Valley.

I came to Phoenix ... because my kids and their mom moved here to relocate her store.

I make art because ... I want people to see and feel the beauty that I see and to try and have them step into my point of view to enjoy what I see outside and around us.

I am most productive when ... when I wake up in the middle of the night from a dead sleep knowing what it is I want to shoot the next morning (what happens almost every night). When I'm among friends who are creating there own art on the streets or in there studios. Or when I get that right subject that pushes me forward (especially kids- love to capture them doing mischievous things )

My inspiration wall is full of ... images of my kids and their love.

My inspiration wall is full of ... shooting and shooting and shooting tons of photos looking through them understanding where I can better myself, what works, what doesn't work, what shot makes me want to go out and do it again.

Good work should always ... Be rewarded with a smile or "WOW you F@%#ing did that!?"

The Phoenix art scene could use more ... murals, more art structures, some interactive art pieces for kids at heart, creative seating to enjoy the outside art that is present in our art district, and free walls for graffiti and street art. There are so many young, talented artists out there that need an area to express themselves without being harassed by the law.

The Creatives, so far ... (And while you're here, check out 100 Tastemakers on Chow Bella.)
