Your puppy will be one pleased pooch after this month's Get Your PHX.

Was your pooch jealous of the doggie diva gourmet dinner featured on last week's Private Chefs of Beverly Hills? Scratching at the screen? Giving you those puppy dog eyes?

Console Fido with a trip to this month's Get Your PHX mixer, from 5:30-8 p.m. this Thursday, April 22 at Noble Beast, 1005 E. Camelback Rd. in Phoenix. Meet store owners Marsha Mardock and Alison Chandler, and socialize with other pet lovers. Maybe your dog or cat will even meet a new pal.

If you haven't been to the Beast, it's an adorable pet store that specializes in healthy, organic food and treats for furry friends of all kinds (our own pet-loving contributor Catherine Slye even works there).

Healthy grub for guests and their four-legged friends will be provided by The Holistic Kitchen, a new Phoenix-area catering company specializing in anti-inflammatory meals and custom dining plans for people with cancer and other illnesses. All pets are welcome at April's Get Your PHX party, "unless you have a pet javalina or venomous snake. That would be bad," the event's website jokingly cautions.
