It's been said that you can't take it with you once it comes time to shuffle loose the mortal coil, especially any and all cash one might have in their wallet or the bank. So if y'all happen to be one of those foolish enough to believe that the end of the world is somehow happening on Friday, December 21, better start spending.

In addition to our previous list of apocalyptic-themed affairs happening in the Metro Phoenix area on Friday, we've assemble a rundown of a few more doomsday parties over the next couple days that will offer a variety of both sinful experiences and spirits for those eager to send out the Earth in style.

Monsterland You can literally watch the seconds tick away until the end of the world possibly occurs at the "Apocalypto: Funeral for the World!" costume party taking place at this Mesa haunted attraction on Friday, December 21, as it will feature a countdown clock tracking the Earth's remaining moments. A special $2 sacrificial "Shot to the End" will also be available at midnight and entertaining antics from local performance art/doomsday group The Cult of the Yellow Sign and the flame-slinging freaks of Mourning Fyre are also planned. The countdown begins at 9 p.m. Admission is $5.

Fat Tuesday The proprietors of Fat Tuesday in Tempe are encouraging folks to "drink like it's the end of the world" at their establishment's doomsday fiesta on Friday. Helpfully, bartenders will offer specials from 4 to 7 p.m. and from 9 to 11 p.m. like $3 beers and well cocktails, as well as large portions of their signature daiquiris for $5.50. Half-priced appetizers, hot spins from DJ Eli Kini, and other fun will also take place.

Joe's Grotto "If the world ends tomorrow, let's sin today!" states the flier for "Armageddon Nekked," a sultry shindig and buffet of burlesque artistry taking place on Thursday at this North Phoenix rock bar. The performers schedule to appear at the event definitely plan to engage in some sinful behavior of the ecydiast variety, as lovely ladies from three different local troupes -- Va Va Voom, Romantasy Cabaret, and Burlescapades -- will take to the stage. Fire performers, cabaret-style entertainment, and other "immoral displays" will also transpire. Doors open at 8 p.m. Admission is $20.

Apollo's Lounge Kevin the Makeout Bandit of Party Foul fame will be in the DJ booth during Apollo's "Doomsday Danse Party" on Friday, dropping a "soundtrack made for the undead, by the undead." Patrons are encouraged to dress as stumbling brain eaters, which will go great with the Zombie Blood Shots available from the bar. Two-for-one drink deals are also planned. The undead rise and start dancing at 9 p.m. The Firehouse The monthly Third Friday Firestage open mic event at this downtown Phoenix art space and gallery will take on a doomsday theme and transform into an "Apocalypse Party" for the evening. Attendees are asked to bring a pillowcase filled with three items they like to have with them "for the end," as well as treasured knick-knacks to add to the Belle Epoque altar. Later in the evening, a caravan will also depart from the Firehouse a head to its sister gallery Miami Art Works near Globe for an even bigger party, which will feature costumes, music, dancing and artist/activist Michael 23 mummifying himself. The Firestage starts at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Firehouse Scottsdale Meanwhile, the Firehouse in Old Town (which boasts the same name as the Phoenix gallery, but rocks an entirely different crowd) will channel alt-rock band R.E.M. on Friday for the "It's the End of the World As We Know It Sendoff Party." Drink specials include $3 Fireball shots, $4 well cocktails and you-call-its from 4 to 8 p.m., and $3 beers until 10 p.m. DJ Sonny will man the mixers all evening as patrons waste away what possibly will be the final hours of existence. Doors open at 11 a.m. Admission is free.
