The after-hours party Oaxaca Saturdays has been up and running again at Oaxaca Restaurant and Cantina for more than a year since the restaurant's been under ownership, says manager Chris Riaza. Each Saturday night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., the restaurant's west bar houses Caribbean night and resident DJ Tranzo mans the east bar for throwback hip hop, R&B, some cumbia and merengue, and more -- all on vinyl.

This Saturday, Tranzo's sharing the space with hip hop group Cultura Fuerte from New Mexico, Phoenix punk band Cultura Libertaria, and a sweet line-up of local artists.

Riaza says local artists Samuel Gomez, Jeremy Arviso, Francicso Garcia and Edgar Fernandez will also showcase their artwork.

The search is still on for a local artist to do live art at the event, so for updates and information, visit the Oaxaca Saturdays Facebook page.
