Bill Nye "The Science Guy" and More at Gammage Auditorium for Origins: The Storytelling of Science

Arizona State University's Origins project "nurtures research, energizes teaching, and builds partnerships, offering new possibilities for exploring the most fundamental of questions who we are and where we came from."

The initiative hosts symposiums, conferences, and lectures that explore questions of origins -- some of the most complex issues facing humanity today. This weekend, the initiative be welcoming some of the world's best-known scientists, writers, and broadcasters to Tempe to discuss the storytelling of science.

The event will be the final night of the Origins Stories Weekend, a two-day celebration of the stories of science that will include a live broadcast of NPR's Science Friday; a panel discussion and test screening of a new feature movie documentary; and a panel discussion on the stories of science and the science of storytelling.

To close out the weekend, Origins will hold a panel discussion called The Storytelling of Science. The event will feature a collection of esteemed scientists, public intellectuals, and award-winning writers.

The panel will get together to discuss the stories behind cutting-edge science, from the origin of the universe to how new technologies will shape the future.
