7 Supersized Summer Staycations That'll Make You Want To Stick Around Phoenix

As we roll into June, the mercury is climbing and the snowbirds are heading for the hills. Weaklings! But their flight is our gain. Some of the Valley's top hotels and resorts are offering summertime specials that'll help you have a four-star vacation at bargain-basement prices.

Now through September, the Four Seasons Resort at Troon North in Scottsdale is offering a buy-two-get-one-free Stay Longer special. Book two consecutive nights at the hotel and get a third night free. While you're a guest, check out the renovations to their pool area, which now includes VIP cabanas with mini-fridge and iPod docking station, free chilled towel service and an adults-only whirlpool. Order up a martini or an Arizona Mai Tai from the poolside bar, grab a free fruit kebab and just chillax!

For $555, couples can enjoy a deluxe 2-night package at the historic Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale. The No Surprise package includes two of everything: a two-night stay, two cocktails, two 60-minute spa treatments, two three-course prix-fixe dinners at Trader Vic's and breakfast for two at Cafe Zuzu both mornings. Available June 1-Sept. 6.

If you've got little ones in tow, head to the Sheraton Crescent Hotel at 2620 W. Dunlap in Phoenix for a Summer Fun package where kids eat free. They'll also love the 166-foot water slide at Monsoon Mountain and the poolside movies offered every Friday and Saturday night, which include Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Planet 51 and Hannah Montana The Movie. Weekend rates for this package average $79-89 per night.

Can't make it to LEGOLAND™ California? On June 18-19 and July 16-17, the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler will host a building workshop for kids as part of a LEGO Mini-Build Weekend special. For $159, a family of four gets a one-night stay, two workshop slots for their kids (additional spots available at $15), a $10 LEGO gift card and $5 coupon for the LEGO store, 2-year LEGO Club membership and admission for two children and two adults to the Arizona Science Center. Sweet!

The Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa is putting some tinseltown sparkle into their summer specials with a Hollywood & Wine spectacular featuring concerts by The Bacon Brothers (with actor Kevin Bacon), wine tastings and a Shakespeare series from Southwest Shakespeare Company. Summer rates start at $119 per night, or you can book an All-Inclusive Package which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner for two starting at $199 per night.

If your kids just can't miss out on LEGOLAND™, no worries. Now through September 16, you'll get 2 free tickets to the California theme park when you book a Playcation Package at the Arizona Grand Resort in South Phoenix. You'll also score a two-night stay in a Resort King Suite, four tickets to the Children's Museum of Phoenix and four tickets to the brand new SEA LIFE™ Arizona Aquarium. Packages start at $155 per night.

For a romantic weekend getaway that's got a little something-something for both sexes, check out the Authentic Arizona Escape at the Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa in Litchfield Park. This couple package features a one-night stay, unlimited golfing, breakfast at Arizona Kitchen and a romantic dinner for two at Red's Steakhouse.
