Looking for something to do tonight? Okay, listen to me...I've got it all planned out.

And I promise I won't just tell you to hit Third Friday.

Not that you shouldn't! Yes, go to Third Friday. This is just something to do in addition to Roosevelt and Grand Ave. What kind of Arty Girl would I be to suggest otherwise? Sheesh.

But once you're done with the trek through those galleries, head up Central Ave to the Heard Museum for April's NU (Native + You) event.

There's just a whole lotta stuff going on there. First and foremost, contemporary artists Nathan Hart and Sarah Sense, who both have works in the Heard's Berlin Gallery, will be at the event, ready to chat it up about their unique approaches to art.

With local restaurants Tapino Kitchen (Chef James Porter), Postino Wine Cafe, Urban Cookies and the Classic Cooking Academy providing food samplings, you can make a meal out of it. Or you can order your own meal at Acadia Farms Cafe which will be open for dinner until 8 p.m.

And then from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the band, Try Me Bicycle will be playing an acoustic set.

Fun, right?

See? Listen to Arty Girl...

The free event runs from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Heard Museum, 2301 North Central Ave in Phoenix. Cal 602-252-8840 or visit www.heard.org/NU.
