If you're used to the progressive rock sounds of A Life of Science, get ready for something completely different -- their new track "Prisoners No More" is full of dance energy that's reflected visually in the video with lights, colors and, of course, wicked cool dance moves by the band -- plus a super-hot model. While the band isn't known for dance music, singer/keyboardist James Keenan says it's a genre the whole band embraces.

"Above all, 'Prisoners No More' is a dance song about being free," Keenan says. "We want this video to get people to dance and forget about the mundane rituals of daily life."

Don't expect too much dance music on their new record, Vita Nova, though. Keenan says each song on the album, which will be fully released early next year, is pretty unique stylistically.

For this track's video, the band stuck with their science fiction aesthetic and crammed the clip full of graphics and space backgrounds to complement the performance and silhouette shots. The band's friend Scott Conditt directed the video, using black lights and light-reflective materials to create the cool effects.

Check out lyrics for the song, along with the video, below, and see A Life of Science when they perform at The Rogue Bar Friday, December 30. For more info on the band, log on to www.alos.us.

Prisoners No More

As we run away into the night
Alongside miles of dragonflies
And chemicals inside our heads
They light the way

And so like needles through the threads
We make our way across the darkness
And starlight glints cascade across
Your startled skin

Prisoners no more
We'll stop at nothing
The winds will send us to a
Higher low
We're gonna make it

As we run away into the night
Alongside miles of dragonflies
And chemicals inside our heads
They light the way

We're gonna make it

As we run away into the night
Alongside miles of dragonflies
And chemicals inside our heads
They light the way

They light the way
