Steven Rouk of Tempe acoustic pop-punk outfit While We're Up, and Trevor McCoy have been released from the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, following the fatal accident that claimed the life of Mesa-native Zach Booher on Sunday, July 8.

According to The Dunn County News, a medical helicopter arrived at the scene of the accident , but none of the car's occupants were transported by air. McCoy and 22-year-old Rouk were transported by ambulance to the nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Following his discharge from the hospital, Rouk wrote on the band's Facebook page:

Trevor was discharged from the hospital after a few hours on July 8th with minor head injuries and lung damage, while I remained there several more days for the doctors to monitor my condition. I was discharged two days ago with a neck-brace for my head and neck injuries, staples remaining in my head for the following several weeks and minor lung damage, but I am recovering. The past couple of days have been spent collecting the final belongings from the car wreckage and preparing for the drive back home to Georgia, taken care of by my mom.

Booher and Rouk founded WWU after meeting during their sophomore year at Arizona State University in 2010.

Services for Booher have been set for Saturday, July 21, at Central Christian Church in Mesa, while his family is in the process of setting up a music scholarship in his name at his alma mater.

Booher's mother, Joanna, also wrote on the band's Facebook profile:

We've received many requests for making donations to honor Zach's name. We believe the best way to honor Zach is by establishing a music scholarship in his name at ASU. If you'd like to donate, please personal message me for the account details. We're not allowed to post the account on the internet per bank rules. Thanks again for your prayers during this sad time.
