Each week on their blog, the folks over at Light in the Attic pick one brick and mortar record store to honor as their pick of the week. Downtown Phoenix store Revolver Records is featured this week.
The label, known for reissues by The Monks, Serge Gainbourg, Karen Dalton, The Free Design, and many others, has previously featured killer stores like Goner, in Memphis, Mississippi Records, in Portland, and Other Music, in New York (y'know, the one where Aziz Ansari works).
The blog entry features a video tour of the store and an interview with Revolver dude Steve Zimmerman, where he discusses local bands Destruction Unit, Vegetable and Eddy Detroit, the kind of jams they spin in the store, and the time he directed David Crosby to the nearest Hooters.
Good on 'ya, Revolver crew.
