If you call yourself a fan of electronic music, then it's safe to assume you're familiar with Jimmy Tamborello of DNTEL. If not, you might want to visit Tamborello's Wikipedia page then smack your head on the keyboard for nearly committing indietronica music geek social suicide.
The contemporary electronic music pioneer has done a few things that make him well, a pretty big fucking deal--take for example being one of the two members in a tiny indie- pop group, very few know about, called The Postal Service. You know, the other dude who's not married to Zooey Deschannel?
DNTEL will be performing live tonight, along with The One AM Radio and Geotic, in the main room of Bar Smith at the reputable Friday night dance party, Sticky Fingers.
Sticky Finger initiator, William Reed says that in addition to DNTEL playing his solo material, he's also expected to perform a few favorites by The Postal Service.
"I'm especially excited about this performance because we're giving the consumer a chance to enjoy a high caliber artist in an intimate venue setting," says Reed.
Pre- sale tickets are available here, doors open at 8 p.m., and, of course, the Sticky Fingers dance party will continue until 3 a.m., immediately following the live performances.
