There's been a non-stop chorus of girlish screams of joy coming from across the Valley since this morning, and we've finally deduced they cause behind all the shreiking: The Jonas Brothers are coming in concert this summer.
The trio of Disney-programmed animatronic pop robots Disney-backed pop stars will visit Jobing.com Arena in Glendale on Tuesday, August 11, as of their upcoming world tour. Fresh off the heels of last month's flick Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience (which has taken in a rather disappointing $19 million), the tween heartthrobs will be circling the globe in support of their soon-to-be-released album. Local Idol-made-good Jordin Sparks and New Jersey pop-rockers Honor Society will open the show.
Tickets (which range in price from $27.50 to $87.50) go on sale next Saturday at 10 a.m., and we're sure hundreds of squealing girls aged 10-18 will be camping out for their chance to get as close as possible to Joe, Kevin, and Nick.
Speaking of over-excited pre-teens, did anyone see the hilarious season premiere of South Park in which Disney is criticized for using the boy band for selling sex to tweeners (and the brothers were pimp-slapped by Mickey Mouse)? It was quite brilliant.
