It turns out that Dave Matthews Band won't be taking the year off after all, according to Billboard.

Tuesday afternoon the band made consecutive announcements about "mini-festivals" that they will be playing this summer via their Twitter (@davematthewsbnd). They tweeted, "DMB will host 4 3-day music fests across the US this summer. The multi-stage events will feature a wide arrary of diverse musical talent."

They also wrote, "Dave Matthews Band will perform a headlining set each night. Exact locations, lineups, ticketing and lodging info will be announced soon!"

They also wrote a save the date entry on their fan club website, The Warehouse. DMB will be performing in the Northeast region June 24-26 and in the Midwest region July 8-10. Performances in August and September have been confirmed as well, but any location specifications have yet to be announced. It's still an exciting announcement nevertheless.

All information regarding tickets, the lineup, etc. will be announced soon. There's no doubt that the lineups for these mini-festivals will be unbelievably tasteful and talented. After all, look who's picking the lineup. Personally, I'm hoping that this will be the start of some sort of annual festival hosted by DMB. A girl can dream, right?
