Morrissey Is Coming to the Marquee Theatre

See also: We Love Morrissey, but Does He Love Us? See also: Morrissey at the Orpheum Theatre It's weird time to be Morrissey: British rock tabloid NME recently apologized to the downer-pop icon for alleging he's racist (stop me if you think that you've heard that one before), he's currently without a label to release he's followup to Years of Refusal, and folks keep suggesting he's going to retire in a couple years.

Lots of uncertainty and drama (you know, like his songs) but here's one thing that's certain: Morrissey loves Arizona. He recently played Tucson, and visited the Orpheum Theatre on November, 20, 2011. He must dig the vibes here -- the fans certainly dig him -- as he's coming back to the Phoenix Metro one day removed from the anniversary of his last visit: He's scheduled to perform Wednesday, November 21, at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe.

We're not going to spend too much time whining about the fact that our friends in L.A. get to see Iggy and The Stooges play with Morrissey (lest we look a gift Moz in the mouth), but opener Kristeen Young better pull out a cover of "No Fun" to appease us.

According to a press release, Morrissey "will perform greatest hits from his legendary catalog as well as new unreleased songs." Tickets go on sale at the Marquee box office and all Bookmans locations this Friday, June 22.
