Flier of the Week: Austin Gibbs at The Trunk Space

This eye-catching flier comes courtesy of Mesa indie musician Austin Gibbs, who plays this Friday, April 23 with a bunch of local bands at The Trunk Space in Phoenix.

Not really sure what it means, but it definitely is eye-catching. The girl's blue eyes are brought out even more by the blue background, which looks a lot like wallpaper but could be some sort of psychadelic ocean, judging from the jellyfish that's floating above her head.

Jellyfish are peaceful and beautiful--maybe a preview of what you can expect from the show. Or maybe it's just Jellyfish are peaceful and beautiful--maybe a preview of what you can expect from the show. Or maybe it's just the state of mind this woman is in. Or maybe, just maybe, this flier is in a world where jellyfish can float above people whenever they please. What a cool world it would be.

The woman's also wearing a mask, which is very mysterious. This could be interpreted as: fans who come out to the show should look their best for the occasion, or there are some surprises in store for those who come out, or expect some regal ball-type dancing to be had. Imagine The Trunk Space hosting a masquerade ball--how cool.

However you see the flier, the show is going to be a jam-packed night, and for only $6, going is quite a steal.

"A night like this will be a filled with unexpected pleasures and a whirlwind of eroticism," Gibbs says. "Please come with a very open mind."

It all starts at 6 p.m., and see www.thetrunkspace.com for more info.
