Shooting After Tyga Concert in Nebraska Last Night Causes Cancellation of Rapper's Upcoming Scottsdale Show

Hip-hop artist Tyga, who was set to perform in the Valley this weekend, was involved in an altercation last night after a concert in Omaha, Nebraska, that resulted in a shootout.

In addition to injuring two of his posse members, the incident has caused the cancellation of Tyga's appearance on Friday at Myst in Scottsdale, which was originally scheduled to take place at the now-closed Clubhouse Music Venue.

Per an e-mail sent this afternoon by California-based promoter Sean Healy Presents, who was putting on Tyga's show at Myst, the cancellation was the result of both last night's incident in Omaha and the shooting melee outside the Clubhouse on March 2 that injured 16 people.

"Due to the unfortunate incidents in Nebraska and at the Clubhouse, the Tyga show that was originally scheduled for The Clubhouse, and later moved to Myst, has been officially canceled," the e-mail states. "Neither of the events above had anything to do with our company. It's never [worth] risking anyone's safety in any environment and we thank you for your understanding."

Tyga's show tonight at Denver venue the Ogden tonight has also been postponed.

According to wire reports, last night's altercation started after either a water bottle or other garbage was thrown onstage during Tyga's performance at Omaha's Sokol Auditorium. As you can see in the following YouTube clip, it led to angry tirade heavily laced with the n-word by Tyga, who hollered "Who threw this shit?", and a fistfight between members of his posse and concertgoers after the show.

Shots were fired at Tyga's tour van as it left the venue from a car that had followed the rapper's entourage for several blocks. Sochitta Sal, a member of his posse that performs as Honey Cocaine, was hit in the arm, while another of Tyga's crew was grazed by a bullet.

Tyga tweeted the following this morning in response to the shooting, "Let's be clear them was haters not fans. My fans love me I love them."
