He wanted to have a "fire fight" with the Pinal County sheriff's deputies who'd surrounded his home and were negotiating with him to come out. It never happened, though, and despite sounding like a tough guy while on the phone with deputies, he surrendered without incident soon after.
On Saturday night, Wisneiwski and his fiancee were talking about their upcoming wedding when the two began to fight.
Wisneiwski's fiancee left the house with her 5-year-old son and went across the street to a neighbor's house to get away from her angry -- and apparently drunk -- soon-to-be husband. She asked the neighbor to go check on Wisneiwski and make sure he was alright.
The neighbor went across the street and knocked on the front door, but nobody answered. He walked around to the back of the house, which is where he found Wisneiwski -- and Wisneiwski's assault rifle.
Wisneiwski ordered the man to the ground while raving about police snipers and whether the neighbor had called police.
After about 10 minutes, Wisneiwski allowed the man to leave. The neighbor went back to his house and did call police.
When the cops arrived, they made contact with Wisneiwski. They say he then declared that he could kill them at any time and challenged them to the "fire fight."
But it was not to be -- Wisneiwski surrendered without incident, telling police to "shoot me" after giving up.
Wisneiwski, who showed "obvious signs of alcohol impairment," was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center on one count each of kidnapping, aggravated assault, and misconduct involving a weapon.
