While writing this morning about a Skull Valley family that went home a couple weeks ago and found a naked guy in their house, it seemed like a rare incident.
That's apparently not the case since a very similar incident happened again last night, this time in California.
In the incident up north, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says the residents of a Skull Valley house came home about 10 a.m. on March 29 and found a naked 44-year-old man on their couch, watching their television.
The residents, who had been out of town for a few days, told Douglas O'Neil to get out of their house -- and according to the Sheriff's Office, he complied, as he "stood, put on his trousers, and calmly walked out the front door."
The people told the YCSO that they discovered O'Neil had sipped on some of their rum, ate some of their food, but he didn't actually remove anything from the house while they were out of town except the dignity of the living room.
"Other than consuming liquor, food and taking a bath, nothing was stolen from the home," according to the YCSO.
The sheriff's office says deputies found O'Neil walking near the house by some railroad tracks, and discovered that he'd hopped on a freight train in Phoenix, hopped off in Skull Valley (near Prescott), and broke into the house he'd selected at random by breaking a window panel.
O'Neil claimed he'd only been in the house for two hours, the sheriff's office says.
O'Neil was booked into jail on charges of burglary, trespassing, criminal damage, and indecent exposure.
Then, last night, a Southern California family came home, where 25-year-old Michael Calvert was allegedly naked in their shower, according to the Associated Press.
San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies arrested Calvert at gunpoint while he was still in the shower, the AP says.
According to that report, Calvert had been sipping on a bottle of the residents' champagne, and also helped himself to a meal at the home, which is reported to be about 130 miles east of Los Angeles.
The moral of the story is, if you find a random naked man in your house who's been drinking your alcohol and eating your food, you're not alone.
