Southern Arizona Teenager Caught at Border with Heroin Thighs

Today in Found at the Border: No, the southern Arizona teenager recently arrested at the border has not been working out -- it was just a bunch of heroin duct-taped to his legs.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the 17-year-old teenager pictured above, from the border town of San Luis, tried to come back to the country from Mexico with those heroin thighs.

Once the kid got selected for the secondary inspection while trying to cross the San Luis port of entry through the pedestrian lanes, it wasn't incredibly difficult to find out what he was trying to do.

According to CBP, the kid had nearly three pounds of heroin taped to himself, and they put the estimated value on it at $36,000.

CBP caught at least three drug-smugglers this week with much more heroin or meth, but they all tried to (unsuccessfully) hide it somewhere in their cars.

The teenager with heroin thighs, whose name wasn't released, was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
