Despite the initial report, Phoenix police say the incident involving a guy with a Samurai sword on the Metro Light Rail was reported, and it's under investigation.
Phoenix police Sergeant Steve Martos says the incident appears to have occurred around 2 a.m. on October 13, which wasn't really clear based on the description from the person who uploaded the video to YouTube.

"The incident is currently under investigation and the suspects have not been located," Martos says. "It appears the individual with the sword helped to stop the fight."
Indeed, the folks fighting just happened to find their exit at the next stop after that sword was pulled.
Meanwhile, a thread on the video that was linked in our comments section in a previous post brings up some great Light Rail tales, but also the old adage about not pulling your weapon unless you're willing to use it.
"In this case that would have meant what, [disemboweling] or maiming some guys over a brawl on a bus?" one person asks.
Luckily for everyone, it turned into a somewhat funny YouTube video instead of a bloodbath.
