The light rail may not yet extend to Chandler, but a booze train is heading straight for Dr. A.J. Chandler Park in the city's downtown later this month.

It's the return of the Chandler Craft Spirits Festival on Saturday, April 25, at which more than 50 spirit and restaurant vendors will descend upon the East Valley to show off all things distilled.

You'll have close encounters with both the "craft" spirits, or "the usual suspects," and the "craftier" spirits -- as in real small catch guys like Tombstone Distillery, Corsair Distillery, and Tempe's own Arizona Distilling Co., who just took home a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition for their Arizona Dry Gin.

Additionally, Arizona Cocktail Hour's Eddy Garcia will lead a cocktail seminar with a team of establish mixologists. The seminar will teach you how to build cocktails at home like a true pro, and do a bit more than put the lime in the coconut.

The festival asks the timeless question that, if you've made it this far in the story, you're all too familiar with: shaken or stirred? But, surely, you've never been asked the question more than fourteen times in an evening. Well, be prepared because tickets, which are on sale online for $40 include 15 drink tickets -- at which point the adage "choose wisely," can't really hang with "choose generally."
