Good news, healthy hippie diners. The second location of Sam Fox's fast-casual health food spot, Flower Child, has officially opened its doors in Scottsdale.
The restaurant is located at 10460 North 90th Street, near the intersection of Shea Boulevard and 90th Street.

The restaurant includes a 3,572-square-foot indoor dining space and 1,223-square-foot patio. Designed to look and feel like a farm market/house, the restaurant features large windows, hand-painted artwork, and an open kitchen. The space also includes a to-go waiting area and a grab-and-go fridge stocked with drinks.
As at the first location near 44th Street and Camelback Road in Phoenix, the Scottsdale restaurant features a menu that focuses on using healthy ingredients -- organic produce, 100 percent grass-fed beef, all-natural chicken, sustainably raised salmon, and organic, non-GMO tofu.
The restaurant has been compared to Fox's True Food Kitchen, which also serves health food, though Flower Child is a more causal concept.
Popular dishes include the avocado hummus starter; The Granola salad made with organic greens, fuji apple, pomegranate, clementine, sprouted almond, fennel, gorgonzola, and chia seed vinaigrette; and the Flying Avocado wrap made with grilled chicken, smoked gouda, romaine, tomato, and avocado hummus.
The menu also allows diners to build their own plates with options such as red chile-glazed sweet potato, quinoa tabbouleh, and gluten-free macaroni and cheese.
