International Sushi Day is June 18, and RA Sushi is celebrating by holding Sushi and Sake 101 classes at all of the company's Arizona locations. During class, chefs will discuss the history and culture of sushi and then teach participants how to roll three different sushi rolls. Participants will also receive a brief history of sake while sampling three different types of the traditional Japanese rice wine to compare and contrast flavors and preparation styles. Sultry Sangria and Sake Saturday at Sorso Wine Room

If you've always wanted to learn how to make Spanish sangria, Scottsdale's Sorso Wine Room is giving you the chance this Saturday. The wine bar is hosting a hands-on sangria and sake cocktail-making class led by Joe Intiso of Southern Wine & Spirits. The class will teach simple summer sangria ideas and how to use sake as more than a shot. Tickets cost $25 per person, which includes the workshop, recipes, sips, and bites. Tilted Earth Festival
Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18

The Tilted Earth Festival in Cottonwood, Arizona, celebrates the Verde Valley of Arizona and one of the region's biggest contributions: wine. Festival goers can head to Cottonwood's Riverfront Park to enjoy a food and drink extravaganza. Attendees can sip on vino from 13 Arizona wineries, including Page Springs Cellars, D.A. Ranch, and Arizona Stronghold Vineyards. Four Peaks Brewing Company and That Brewery will be serving beer. Guests also can enjoy wine cocktails from the Tilted wine mixology tent and a variety of food trucks from the Phoenix Food Truck Coalition, including Queso Good quesadilla truck, Jersey J’s East Coast Cuisine, and Burgers Amore. The festival runs from 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday. Tickets costs $52 before the festival and $58 on the day of the event.
