15 Black Friday and Small Business Saturday Shopping Events in Metro Phoenix

If you're not the type who gets a thrill from camping outside of Best Buy for hours or fighting the crowds at the mall for a parking spot, check out some of these out-of-the-ordinary Black Friday deals. Many local Valley retailers will open their doors with special bargains for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday — and we have rounded up the ultimate guide to local discounts and events.

Heard Museum Ornament Marketplace 
Enhance your holidays with unique Native-themed ornaments hand-crafted by American Indian artists from the Heard Museum Shops during this annual event. Beginning on Black Friday, choose from hundreds of various ornaments for yourself or for unique holiday gifts. This event will run from Friday, November 27 to Sunday, November 29. Hours are Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the Heard Museum Shop is always free (museum admission costs extra). Alternative Black Friday Vintage Market
If strolling through a Parisian flea market appeals to you, try CityScape in downtown Phoenix's fourth annual Alternative Black Friday Vintage Market. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., more than 20 local vendors will be selling vintage clothes, antiques, jewelry, coffee, crafts, home goods, and décor. Admission is free, and the first 300 shoppers will get an exclusive gift bag with goodies and coupons from CityScape merchants. While you browse, enjoy the Mimosa Bar as well as local beers and wine and listen to local musicians in Patriots Square. Downtown Tempe "Shop Small Selfies"
Several downtown Tempe businesses will be celebrating Small Business Saturday with "Shop Small Selfies." Stores and restaurants will create a unique selfie opportunity for their customers and offer other in-store events, savings, and incentives. Participating businesses include Critical Threat Comics, Earl of Sandwich, Ncounter, Tempe Center for the Arts, Delice Bistro, The Handlebar Tempe, La Bocca Pizzaria + Wine Bar, Yoga to the People, Pedal Haus, and Candy Addict. Guests are also encouraged to tag #DowntownTempe and to take selfies with the way-finding/directory map kiosks sprinkled around downtown for a chance to win a shopping spree. Black Friday at Phoenix Art Museum
Give the gift of art this year. Beginning at 8 a.m., the first 50 people in line will receive a free year-long membership to the museum (you can also make this a gift membership if you're feeling generous). Items in the store are 10 percent off for the general public and 20 percent for members. ASU Art Museum
For the artist in your life, the ASU Art Museum Store and the Ceramics Center at the Brickyard in Tempe will offer their annual holiday sale from November 24 to December 12. Although the stores will be closed on Black Friday, they will reopen on Small Business Saturday with 20 percent off all regularly-priced merchandise, and museum members will receive an additional 10 percent off. Changing Hands

Phoenix Flea 
Looking for something truly unique? Check out the Phoenix Flea on Saturday, November 28, where local artists and craftsman and a handful of traveling shops will offer curated collections of handcrafted goods, vintage clothing and collectibles, original paintings and prints, industrial decor, fashion, artisan food, and more. Black Friday Vintage Pod Sale
Beginning on Friday, November 27, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., join Zinnias at Melrose for some cookies, hot coffee, a 20-foot pod full of vintage and antique treasure, and another 10,000 square feet of goods from vendors. No need to get up at the crack of dawn, so enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner, get a good night’s sleep, and head there on Friday for a fun day of vintage shopping. If you don’t make it out on Friday, don't worry. Black Friday with the Arizona Coyotes
Any hockey fans in your house? Spend Black Friday with the Arizona Coyotes on Friday, November 27.  From noon to 1 p.m., you can skate with the Arizona Coyotes’ Howler and Paw Patrol during a special appearance on the Westgate holiday rink at Fountain Park in Glendale. In addition, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., attendees can enter to win 12 suite tickets to the Arizona Coyotes-Minnesota Wild game on December 11 at Gila River Arena.
