Slow Roll
In the not-so distant past, Phoenix has been decried as one of the nation’s least bicycle friendly cities. But, as one freewheelin’ poet observed, the times they are a changin’. With a Grid Bike Share system now in place, Phoenicians can expect to see more events like Slow Roll rollin’ through town. As the name suggests, Slow Roll is an opportunity for bike enthusiasts to stroll through downtown on a designated route. The ride kicks off at the Downtown Phoenix Civic Space, 414 North Central Avenue, at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 22, and wraps up at Last Exit Live, 717 South Central Avenue, just in time for Motown on Mondaysat 8 p.m. Riders should arrive at 6:45. "All Art Arizona"
“All Art Arizona,” an annual juried exhibition of visual artists statewide, returns to the East Valley this month.

The seven-week show takes over the north and south galleries of Art Intersection in Gilbert during the early summer, drawing from artists in a variety of media. The hyper-local event highlights photography, painting, and sculpture among mixed media and fiber art. The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite work, culminating in crowning the Viewer’s Choice winner at during the closing reception.

ROCK
If you spent an inordinate amount of your childhood learning about the 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s by way of VH1’s I Love The… series, we have a feeling you’ll feel right at home time-traveling through Scorpius Dance Theatre’s pop culture-meets-movement show, ROCK. Artistic director Lisa Starry choreographed 10 new contemporary works for the show, which draws on popular music by bands including the Beatles, Alice Cooper, the Runaways, and Heart, and runs through Sunday, June 27.
