One new idea for every day in 2011. We're talking big, small, local,
international, in action and on the drawing board. Here's today's -- what's yours?
Scottsdale's turning 60 and inviting the public to the summer-long party -- actually, inviting the public to throw their own unique parties in the form of "Arts Expressions" (no candles or singing necessary).
The goal of Scottsdale Public Art (official party hosts) is to fill the calendar with ideas and events open to the public every day between April 25 and June 25.
To date, submissions include an old fashioned cowboy campfire featuring
cowboy singers, musicians, poets and storytellers, a public art
dedication at the new fire station, a few art walks in old town, and
family scavenger hunt.
The only requirement: your idea/event must take place in
Scottsdale during the summer time frame. For a list of ideas, you can
always check out our 365 idea archive or and submit your own to Scottsdale's official 60th party website by April 15.
