When you hear Cheap Thrills, you may think of the local dance party or the Frank Zappa album, but what about a vintage store in Phoenix? Cheap Thrills, located near 25th street and Indian School road, is filled with antique clothing and shoes (for ladies and gents), furniture, kitchenware, artwork by locals and an assortment of goodies. The sign outside of the small shop says it all -- "way cool recycled stuff."

We stopped by Cheap Thrills to see how cheap and thrilling it was. Check out what we'd take, what we'd leave and why we'd go back after the jump...

Things we're taking home:

1. Vintage Polaroid Land Camera J66
Long live the Polaroid! Only $59.99 for instant camera action.

2. Binoculars
We know you creep around on Facebook; why not do it the old fashioned way with a pair of binoculars? Or you can bird watch ... yeah, bird watch. Get a closer look for $16.99.
3. Yosemite National Park map
A raised map of Yosemite National Park for $19.99? Obviously dreams come true.
4. Black and white photos

Do we know who these people are? No, but everything and everyone looks better in black and white. Capture these old photos -- three for $2.
5. Pair of clock/lion containers

These containers are more than just looks. They're functional too. Fill these $19.99 boxes with jewelry, cards and other small items.

Things on our wish list:

1. Old wall phone
If we owned this we'd substitute texting for talking. Pick up this vintage phone for $89.99.

2. Antique portrait
It's from the 1880s so we definitely want it. We'll place this $229 portrait on our wish list for now
3. Animal skull

We have 99 problems, but this $99 skull isn't one of them.
4. Cherub light from the 1960s

This lamp is divine, duh. Follow the light for $46.

We'll pass on...

A New Kids on the Block fashion doll. We love Joey McIntyre, but we can't get behind this $16.99 fashion figure doll.

One reason to go back...
Cheap Thrills has a huge collection of stuff. The store has acquired clothes and accessories from closed down Phoenix favorites - Hollywood Regency and Nostalgic Alley. Think of it this way: When two doors close, one door opens, wider.

Looking for something to do? Cheap Thrills and Maui Wowi Coffee Shop host a Saturday Marketplace, every second Saturday from October through May. Enjoy great deals, local artists, music and food and drink from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the back parking lot of Cheap Thrills.

Cheap Thrills is located at 2540 E. Indian School Rd. in Phoenix. Visit the store Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. For more information, visit the store's website.
