Time to bust out the paper mâché and wicked sense of humor -- Beatrice Moore of Bragg's Pie Factory in Phoenix just announced the deadline and viewing dates for her 2013 Mutant Pinata show.
The pinata show is an annual event and home to outrageous, political, corny, sentimental, and fun creations that perch, lie, fly, and hang from the factory's ceiling. This year's show will be on view through March (including First and Third Friday and Art Detour weekend -- March 2 and 3).

The requirements: You have to wheel, drag or carry your creation to The Frontal Lobe Community Space inside Bragg's Pie Factory, 1301 Grand Ave, by February 26 -- no candy or bat required. And you must fill out the application, which is a total cinch.
There's no entry fee, and 70 percent of the pinata's sale price (optional) will go to the artist, while 30 percent goes back to venue upkeep.
For more information, download the application here (or you can pick one up from Kooky Krafts at 1500 W Grand Ave.) and check out our slideshows from the 2008, 2009, and 2010, 2011, and 2012 pinata shows.
