The Invisible Pink Unicorn, birthed on the whim of early Internet users fed up with religion, gained underground ubiquity as a symbol of atheism. LAS Gallery's “The Visible Pink Unicorn” exhibit plays with the notion of a different type of cult: “the ultra-feminine.”

Pieces in this collection echo a certain preciousness found in design these days, as well as a reverence for the childlike. We're not gonna lie -- there's a lot of pink on these walls -- but it reminds us of that corner in our old bedroom, where, beneath a poster of My Little Pony, we spent hours in a kind of worshipful state, lost in worlds of our own making.

The exhibit features the work of Melissa McGurgan, Jacqueline Davis, Mindy Meyers, and Amy Reidell.

Wednesdays-Fridays, 12-7 p.m.; Saturdays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: Dec. 28. Continues through Feb. 23, 2007
