For longtime fans of the aging reality competition show Project Runway, Tim Gunn merits worship and "make it work" is a life mantra.
But on its decennial, the show has plenty to consider in the way of a makeover. From its inception at Bravo and jump to Lifetime (we're still not over it) to the present, the Heidi Klum-helmed fashion show hasn't changed much.
With the tenth season premiering tonight at 8 p.m. and nine seasons under its waist-cinching belt, there's nearly a decade of winners, losers, and moments to look back on and smile, frown, or be left in, well, stitches.
The five that follow are our all-time favorites ...
5. Decision-Making at 3 a.m. Previously (and since) untouched levels of TMI came from everyone's fave mentor, Tim Gunn, when he gave Chris March an all-nighter pep talk in season four.
4. The Creme de la Corn Austin Scarlett created the show's first winning design: a dress made of corn husks for a grocery store-sourced challenge. Not only did the farm-inspired frock set the bar high for creativity on the show, it also was surprisingly pretty in its state of shrunken produce.3. The End of Fierce Season four winner Christian Siriano's overused catch phrase "fierce" made for quite a drinking game, but the shiny rawrness quickly wore off (and the hangovers were too much). Consider the term officially banned, along with other Siriano faves "trannylicious" and "hot mess." 2. Mondo Wins All-Stars Dude was straight up robbed back in season eight. (Recently, Heidi said it was guest judge Jessica Simpson's fault. UGH, of course.) But dear little Mondo Guerra triumphed -- and rightfully so -- in the first season of Project Runway All Stars with a collection featuring his trademark vivacious patterns.1. What Happened to Andrae? Rasputin-looking though he was (and probably still is), season two's Santino Rice has always held a special place in hearts of PR traditionalists. Not only did he turn out looks both unwearable and fabulous, he did a dead-on and delightfully/dementedly imaginative Tim Gunn impersonation that still holds up.
