This year, 4-20 takes on an added significance -- Arizona's recently enacted medical marijuana law just went into effect, much to the delight of many pot aficionados.
Local bars and smoke shops will be offering a variety of drink deals, promotions and giveaways to patrons, whether it's discounts on mariju...er, tobacco paraphernalia (wink).
Here's a quick list of a few 4/20 fiestas happening throughout town tomorrow.
Blaze Tobacco

and 3133 South Mill Avenue, Tempe
Want to know what goes into making a bong? The glassblowing artists at either of Blaze's two shops will be conducting various demonstrations of their technique tomorrow. A buffet of munchies is also planned, as well as prize raffles, live music, and promotional giveaways.
Both locations open at 10 a.m.
Herb 'n' Legend
831 East Greenway Road
If you're looking for a light for your water pipe, the fire-spinners of the Phoenix Pyromantics might have one to offer. They'll be flinging flames in the smoke shop's parking lot starting at 8 p.m. Meanwhile, glassblowing demonstrations will be held, local bands will perform, and special 20 percent discounts will be available on select merchandise. The shop opens at 9 a.m.
The Lost Leaf
915 North Fifth Street
Got cotton mouth? A brew or two from the arty downtown drinkery ginormous selection might do the trick. And while there, you can check out live painting and a performance by local hip-hop duo by the aptly named Supajoint. The event starts at 10 p.m. and admission is free.
Paraphernalia Boutique
4234 West Dunlap Avenue
This West Valley smoke shop will host a 4/20 Weedstravaganza celebrationduring the day. Activities include raffles for merchandise all day long, fashion shows featuring designs by Mary Jane clothing will also take place, various discounts, and free food and drink from Cheba Hut. Doors open at 10 a.m.
School of Rock
411 South Mill Avenue, Tempe
Blazing Bros and Hash Hoes Party featuring such drink specials as $4.20 Red Bull vodka cocktails and 42-cent beers until midnight. Live entertainment is also promised and costumes are encouraged. Doors open at 10 p.m.
