Farewell, My Queen @ Harkins Camelview Benoît Jacquot's adaptation of Chantal Thomas' novel, Les adieux à la reine, finds Marie Antoinette (Diane Kruger) and her court on the cusp of the French Revolution. The historical fiction is seen through the eyes of infatuated lady in waiting Sidonie (Léa Seydoux), whose affection for the queen makes her question the motives of the revolutionaries.

Adult tickets are $7 to $9.50.Gerhard Richter Painting @ Phoenix Art Museum Documentarian Corinna Belz captures abstract German painter Gerhard Richter's creative process through observational footage of Richter working, which she pairs with archival materials and commentary from critics and collaborators. The film screens at Phoenix Art Museum on August 17, 18, and 19, at 1 p.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., respectively. Tickets are $10 for non-members of the museum and $7 for members.The Bus @ Phoenix Center for the Arts No Festival Required presents 2011 documentary The Bus, a film that celebrates the history, legacy and impact of the iconic Volkswagen Transporter. See it at Phoenix Center for the Arts on Monday, August 20. Tickets are $6. Premium Rush @ Tempe Marketplace Tempe Bicycle Action Group will catch an early look at the bike messenger thriller Premium Rush, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The first 20 riders to show up at Tempe Beach Park at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, will receive advance screening passes to the flick, which the rollers will ride over to watch. If there are more than 20, TBAG will host a lottery to distribute passes. The advance screening takes place at Harkins Tempe Marketplace, and the ride will depart from the park at 6:15.PressPausePlay @ FilmBar The digital era has democratized creativity by offering constant, evolving opportunities to make art.
