Maybe it's his knack for drawing lofty conclusions from minute observations, his enviable friendship with the loyal Dr. Watson, or simply his iconic fashion: a deerstalker hat, a cape, and a pipe. Whatever combination of qualities and characteristics -- Sherlock Holmes is one of the most recognizable literary figures in the world.

This Saturday, The Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale will bring Leslie Klinger and Laurie R King, editors of A Study in Sherlock, to the stage to discuss the collection of 18 stories inspired by the super sleuth.

The pair are a couple of Holmesian experts and will sit alongside contributing authors Thomas Perry, Dana Stabenow, and Jacqueline Winspear to sign books, answer questions, and talk all-things-Sherlock.

The contemporary authors in this collection of stories put Holmes in new situations and alternative histories that add to Sherlockian lore.

Get your fix this Saturday, November 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Poisoned Pen, 4014 N Goldwater Blvd in Scottsdale.
