You can even thank Huh in person on Friday, December 3, when he signs his latest LOL tome, Teh Itteh Bitteh Book of Kittehs, at Changing Hands in Tempe.
We recently caught up with Huh for a quick chat before he heads our way.
What can you tell us about the new book?
It's called The Itteh Bitteh Book of Kittehs, and it's all about cute, lovable kittens, and the cute, lovable things they do.
All the content on the site is user-generated, so we pick the ones that are really funny for the books. We've been ascribing human emotions to animals for a long time, and I think the best captions are those that really capture and express that.
Do you have any pets yourself?
Yes, I have a 13-year-old pound dog. It's some kind of poodle mix. His name is Nemo, like the fish.
You're an "Internet Content Connoisseur." What are currently some of your favorite sites?
I have a degree in journalism from Northwestern University, so I read a lot of news web sites. I'm a news junkie.
What's on your Christmas list?
That's a good question. I haven't had a chance to make one yet. I was in Europe for Thanksgiving, and it weird to come back to Seattle and have missed Thanksgiving. But we don't really get snow in Seattle, so it doesn't feel like a traditional "Christmas" anyway. You probably feel the same way, living in Phoenix.
Yeah, we go Christmas shopping in short sleeves.
You're so lucky. You know what I want for Christmas? Warm weather.
Ben Huh signs Teh Itteh Bitteh Book of Kittehs at 6 p.m. Friday. December 3, at Changing Hands, 6428 S. McClintock Drive in Tempe. Call 480-730-1196 or visit www.changinghands.com for more information.
