Is it just us, or is something missing?

Our jackalope needs a name.

And what better time to name him/her than in conjunction with the opening of a very fitting art exhibition, "Re-Imagining the West," at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art this Friday, June 11, from 7 to 9 pm.

SMoCA's premiering its entire summer line-up -- including the architecture project "90 Days Over 100 Degrees," Sue Chenoweth's "Spyhopping" and more -- with a big party, and you're invited.

New Times will be there, and we're hoping you'll come by, grab a free button and offer a name for the mascot for our newest blog. If we choose your name, you'll win a SMoCA annual membership, a $50 value that includes:

*Free, unlimited admission to SMoCA (plus two guest passes to share with friends)
*Advance notice of Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts
events and performances with early ticket-buying opportunities
*10% discount at both museum stores
*Two complimentary tickets to the annual Scottsdale Arts Festival
*Invitations to members-only events
*Discounts on workshops, summer camps, lecture series
*Free subscription to member newsletters and calendars

And we'll immortalize you with by announcing the winner -- and the winning name -- next week, right here on Jackalope Ranch.
