On Friday, November 5 and Saturday November 6, the Phoenix Summit Challenge will offer outdoor enthusiasts/workout freaks the biggest beast of a workout, aside from the Ironman Triathlon, this town has to offer.

Now in its sixth year, hikers can choose either a one-day or two-day challenge. If you choose the latter, you'll need to be king/queen of seven Valley mountains. It means you'll need to hike Camelback Mountain and Papago Park ... in one day.

Last year's shindig saw 725 registrants so we suggest calling 602-495-5458 or visiting this link to get all over that sooner, rather than later.

And get this: Jackalope Ranch has already invested a bunch of sweat for you by covering what you can expect at several of the Summit Challenge parks. (You're welcome.)
