The Phoenix Suns announced yesterday that they would welcome a group of "high energy" youngsters to their entertainment crew, and today they announced their double whammy -- seniors.
Dance Fusion, a group of 15 women ages 42 to 73 (who are self-described seniors), will also perform for Suns fans on Friday night when the basketball team takes on the Portland Trail Blazers at US Airways Center.
And while they'll have to compete with everyone's favorite bubbly lineup of official dancers and young, glowing children (in like-sized outfits), the groups packing an extra punch; they'll be in zombie costume dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller.
The dancers told KTAR this morning that they have more than 200 years of combined experience in a variety of dance forms and that the main difference between their group and the original dancers isn't much beyond 20 years and ibuprofen.
Tip-off for this Friday's game is at 8:30 p.m. and the Suns' official dancers will sign copies of their new swimsuit calendar (no SunKid or Dance Fusion edition on this one) from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Casino Arizona Pavilion.
