School will resume for Sandy Hook Elementary next month in a new building and to make students comfortable and help relieve some of the anxiety after last week's shooting, parent volunteers will be decorating around the clock.
The goal of the Connecticut PTSA is to create a "winter wonderland with the entire school decorated with as many unique snowflakes as possible" with donated creations from around the globe.
PTSA members encourage senders and creators of all ages to mail in their snowflakes to:
Connecticut PTSA 60 Connolly Parkway Building 12, Suite 103 Hamden, CT 06514
Donations to Sandy Hook Elementary will be accepted to the Connecticut PTSA "Sandy Hook Fund" and will be used toward providing support for the community that lost 20 elementary school children and 8 staff members. Checks can also be mailed to the address above.
