Sass it up with the help of local stylists.
"Keeping it Local" @ Legend City Studios
So Phoenix will never be a fashion powerhouse like New York or Los Angeles but we can still show off some serious style ... it just takes a little bit of premeditated organization. Local First Arizona and the AZ Chapter of Fashion Group International have teamed up to corral more 30 local style, beauty, and fashion designers under one roof tonight, Friday, Sept. 17. Click here for details.

Catherine Ruane "Out West" Artist Reception @ Five15 Arts
Speaking of desert style, Ruane takes inspiration straight from the dirt. Or, rather, the plants that grow out of our dirt. Her large-scale charcoal drawings depict intimate portraits of desert vegetation that survives and thrives against all odds. See the works and meet Ruane tonight, Friday, September 17. Weekends are good for drinking. Especially this weeked.
Tour De Light Rail Pub Crawl @ Various Bars
We loved drinking before but now that we have a decent public transit system, we super duper love drinking. Drink to your heart's content (and don't worry about driving) on the pub crawl that stops at seven participating bars in Phoenix and Tempe -- all located along the light rail. The guzzling gets going at 5 p.m. Saturday, September 18, at Doc's Place. Click here for the event website.

Radio Phoenix Pool Party @ Clarendon Hotel
Yes, yes, we're all itching to celebrate the arrival of fall but did you check the forecast for Saturday? 108. Well, looks like the town can still relish in our ever-lasting pool party season at this weekend's biggest pool party set for Saturday, Sept. 18. There'll be DJs, live music, bikinis...you should know the drill by now. Click here for details.

Black Light Mass
This mysterious event serves a midnight "communion" and encourages guests to bring something to burn. It starts at 10 p.m. Sunday, September 19, and costs $7. Sounds spooky, eh? Click here for the facebook event page.
