Each week, Jackalope Ranch brings you a free event, workshop, or you-name-it happening in Phoenix. Because sometimes the best things in life really are free. This week's freebie: Ballet Arizona: Ballet Under the Stars
September is well under way, and you know what that means -- everyone's favorite outdoor exhibition of athleticism and grace is finally back.
We're of course talking about ballet. For its 15th year, Ballet Arizona will be presenting Ballet Under the Stars, a series of free outdoor ballet performances at various parks throughout the Valley.
Starting September 20 and ending September 29, this year's program will be the largest yet, with seven performances stemming from the classical to the contemporary. Each show will start at 7 p.m. in an outdoor venue transformed by lighting, sound, stage and costume.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own comforts from home (chairs, blankets, etc.) and, if they feel so inclined, to make a donation to Ballet Arizona (helping to ensure that this program comes back next year).
Check out the full schedule of performances below and for more information, visit Ballet Arizona online.
