Brat Haus

As Old Town Scottsdale's version of a beer hall, this clean and comfortable gastropub features nearly 30 beers on tap and almost 40 in bottles and cans, as well as a locally focused menu of homemade sausages, German specialties, and house-pickled fare courtesy of chef Payton Curry. Skip the brats and, instead, pair a strong German or Belgian brew, golden ale from California, or a beer-minded cocktail with a soft and chewy handmade pretzel, a plate of juicy currywurst, or warm German potato salad topped with a fried egg. A sprawling outdoor beer garden, peppered with picnic tables, potted plants, and strings of bistro lights, usually fills up before the two indoor spaces do. Read our review.
