Lunch options include beans on toast, salads, smoked salmon quiche, jacket potatoes with several options of fixings, and the Earl of Sandwich (an assortment of six delicate tea sandwiches). For a fantasy experience, order the Duchess of Bedford’s Formal Afternoon Tea, a three-tiered cake stand with sandwiches, scones, and petits fours served on fine antique bone china. For little ladies who sip air from plastic cups, there’s the Nursery Tea selection with PB&J, seasonal fruit, homemade cookies and candies, and decaffeinated tea or hot chocolate. The tea room also has a gift shop with rare European antiques, imported teas, and tea-related treasures.
