Over the past five years, Pyra Sutra and the other voluptuous vixens of Scandalesque have rarely been shy about stripping down to their unmentionables for the delight of local lookie-loos. As of tonight, however, the Valley's premier burlesque troupe is getting completely Shameless.
No, gutter brains, that doesn't mean these lovely ladies are going the Full Monty route, it's just the name of their latest sinful showcase, which debuts this evening at Tempe's Cherry Lounge.
As per usual, the vaudevillian-style program will offer plenty of skin, as well as aerial acrobatics, comedians, Pyra's signature "Blazing Bustiers," and other stimulating entertainment.

Silver Medallion at Dirty Pretty (Thursday)
Oren J. and Carnegie have packed their bags, bought their plane tickets, and are ready to depart on a cross-country excursion of epic proportions. The electro/hip-hop duo are bound for the campuses of Georgia Tech, Syracuse University, M.I.T., and 15 other institutions of higher learning as a part of a nationwide college tour. But before they get their fill of frat cats and beer bond, the pair will stage a free show in Scottsdale for local Silver Medallion fans. Scandalesque at Cherry Lounge & Pit (Thursday)
Aerial acrobatics, comedians, musical acts, blazing bustiers, a performance by the Scandalesque Adult Jazz Class, and other sultry shenanigans are scheduled to take place as these femme fatales attempt to set the Mill Avenue club ablaze. You'll probably need a stiff drink or two, so $3 Black Cherry Vodka beverages will also be available. Wine Tasting/Art Show at Sun Devil Liquors (Friday)
An art opening featuring the works of such local painters Dumperfoo, Lania McWhorter, and Alison Sweet is already an enticing option. But when you add a performance by acoustic troubadour J. Blackstone, as well as tastings of various wines, beers, and whiskeys, then this event become a can't miss proposition. 5 p.m., $5. (235 North Country Club Drive, Mesa, 480-834-5050)
Move Something at Sanctum (Friday)
A night after he helps re-launch the Blunt Club at its newest home, Pickster One will present the latest edition of his "moveable feast of sound" -- which changes up its location every month -- at the debaucherous CenPho dance den. Five straight hours of electro, disco, hip-hop, and house are planned, and Sanctum's regular Friday night resident Jared Alan (of fauxShow fame) and DJ Don Ricardo will also join the funky fray. 9 p.m., $5. WWE Superstar Signing at Glendale Visitor Center (Friday)
Before he proceeds to battle 30 other World Wrestling Entertainment competitors in the annual Royal Rumble this Sunday on pay-per-view, the West African-born grappler will be signing autographs and posing for pictures in the West Valley as a part of the buildup for March's WrestleMania 26 at University of Phoenix Stadium. Come On Go With Us at the Rogue Bar (Friday)
Made up of five guys who come from various parts of the South, COGWU sounds exactly like what five guys who come from various parts of the South should sound like. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. The group creates a nice mixture of country and rock with some fiddles, banjo, and harmonies thrown in for good measure. The band was formed in 2008 in Columbus, Mississippi, by lead vocalists Jacob Simpson and Chase McGill and was later filled out with members Dustin Hendrick, Justin McKenzie, and Christopher Hunt. A short time later, the group released its self-titled album on the indie label Severe Records LLC. Come On Go With Us has been touring extensively since releasing their debut album last year and has developed a reputation for putting on a highly enjoyable live show. 9 p.m., $5. The Shop's Anniversary at Hidden House (Friday & Saturday)
Created and curated by premium selectah Al Page, The Shop has been holding it down for half a decade by pumping the time-tested sounds of rap's best old school and underground artists with good doses of funk, soul, and reggae. The weekly hip-hop night celebrates its fifth anniversary with bass-heavy boom-bap that turns the dark dive that is the Hidden House into a temple of hip hop that KRS-One envisioned. Considering the roster of DJs, guests, and artists that have passed through over the years, The Shop's celebratory jump-off will be the spot to catch the city's movers and shakers while moving and shaking it yourself. 9 p.m., $5. Hip Hop 4 Haiti at Dominion Harvest Church (Saturday)
Didja miss out on George Clooney's star-studded Hope For Haiti broadcast that dominated the boob tube last week? You must've been on Mars then, considering the fact that the titanic telethon was on eleventy billion networks simultaneously. Regardless, if you didn't get the chance to donate Gorgeous George's cause, but still want to help out the beleaguered Caribbean Nation, a few local hip-hoppers are staging their own music-filled benefit as a part of a nationwide fundraising effort. Rhyme-spitters and rap artists like Get Money, Sleeplessouljaz, and Lil Salt will perform at this South Phoenix house of worship and attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, unused toiletries, and clothing to event. Erratic! Radio Presents at the Rogue Bar (Saturday)
There's little doubt that Westley Allen is a big-time booster of the Phoenix music scene. Not only does the 32-year-old play with retro-punk band the Plainfield Butchers, he also hosts the weekly local music show Erratic Radio on KWSS 106.7 FM. Then there's the fact he also puts together showcases of P-Town rock acts, much like this weekend's gig featuring The Automatic Erasers, The Complainiacs, BOLT!, and his own group (natch). Until the Light Takes Us at MADCAP Theaters (Sunday)
Some people think Phoenix's music scene needs spicing up. All we gotta say to that is be careful what you wish for. For example, it probably wouldn't be wise to go all Scandinavian black metal on our local venues and personalities. That's because, according to the flick Until the Light Takes Us (2009), the Scandinavian black metal world (especially in countries like Norway) is chockfull of death and double-crossing ploys. The controversial documentary chronicles the roots of the brutal music and ideologies that were forged along with the unabashed sounds, all of which came to a head with the 1994 slaying of Øystein Aarseth by Mayhem bandmate Varg Vikernes. 6 p.m., $8.
