And like a strong woman should, she stood her ground and refused to give her ex-boyfriend a portion of her royalties when he came crawling back to her, according to Spinner.

Her ex has broken the silence between the former couple and is asking for a cut of the money she made from the sales of her debut album, 19. Adele has always been very open about his heavy inspiration for the album.

After repeated calls, Adele lashed back and told him, "Well, you made my life hell, so I lived it and now I deserve it." Forget the Spice Girls; this is exemplary girl power.

"He really thought he'd had some input into the creative process by being a prick," Adele said. "I'll give him this credit: he made me an adult and put me on the road that I'm traveling."

Adele wrote her hit "Rolling in the Deep" just one day after her breakup with her ex-boyfriend. If only everybody could use their post-breakup time that productively.
