Finally, a reason I would actually want to go to Florida. No offense to anyone from that place. It's just that I'm a native Phoenician - I don't like humidity, warm beach water offends me and I've always thought Florida was for people who don't know California exists.

Today through Friday, the Aqua Art Miami art fair is going down in two locations: the Aqua Hotel in South Beach and at Aqua Wynwood in the heart of Miami's gallery district. Aqua
Art Miami is an annual fair whose mission is to promote innovative art from across the globe.

ASU Art Museum is making a showing with "I'm Keeping an Eye on You", a video project featuring the work of 10 artists from the U.S. and Europe. Curated by ASU's own John Spiak, the videos explore our inevitable tendency to cross the line in relationships - whether the relationship is personal, professional, casual, institutional, etc. Across the board, we can't seem to avoid overstepping our boundaries and causing major discomfort.

Need an example? Check out this video called The Interrogation by Michael Mohan. This, along with nine others will be in Miami this week.

Oh, and here's the best part: the show will debut as a full exhibition at ASU Art Museum in August, 2009.

Wait, I lied. That's not the best part. The best part is that I don't have to go to Florida to see this.

"I'm Keeping an Eye on You" runs December 3-7 at Aqua Wynwood in Miami, FL, aquaartmiami.com and debuts in August 2009 at ASU Art Museum, 10th St. and Mill Ave. in Tempe, 480-965-2787, asuartmuseum.asu.edu
