So you love art. Obviously. Because you're reading this blog.
Sure, I'd love to think people read Arty Girl just for the delightful creative voice of its author but, as you all know, I'm just too dang humble to believe such things.
So you've got the interest. Now, the next step is to start your collection of original art (assuming you haven't already).
Scary, right?
The process shouldn't be too frightening now that we have the First Time Art Investors Expo to guide us.
This Friday at Heritage Square, artists will set up booths displaying their art for sale. But this time, the whole event is designed to teach attendees how to buy art.
Participating artists are prepared to answer questions about their work, pricing, and the selling process. The Volunteer Legal Assistance for Artists will be on-hand to help with contracts. So if you find something you like, you can baby-step your way through the process.
Not so scary anymore, is it?
The night is organized by Sean Deckert who is responsible for kicking up the Heritage Square First Fridays Art Walk.
Oh, and the folks behind The Shizz.org will be throwing together some live music at the event.
The First Time Art Investors Expo runs from 6-10 p.m. this Friday, January 15th at Heritage Square, 113 N. 6th St. in Phoenix. Check out ffinheritagesquare.blogspot.com for more info.
