Down AKA Kilo is scheduled to perform Friday at the Sets in Tempe.
This weekend's lineup of concerts isn't exactly big on star power. Sure, there are few major names scheduled to perform in the Valley over the next two nights (including local superstars The Maine, Latin hip-hopper Down AKA Kilo, and indie faves Caecelia), but the real highlight are small mini-festivials where a multitude of local bands will be performing.
There's Saturday night's Funky Formal at Club Red in Tempe, with its sultry combo of jazz, rock, and dancing; or perhaps KristmaZ KhaoZ (also on Saturday) at The Sets in Tempe, featuring close to a dozen local hard rock bands doing their thing. And don't forget the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sunday at the Rhythm Room, where a "who's who" among the Valley's blues scene will be performing.
