It's a ways off, but electronic pioneers Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and Andy Fletcher -- collectively known as Depeche Mode -- are coming to Phoenix.

The band will end its U.S. tour at Desert Sky Pavilion (because, hallelujah, the owners of the venue got as sick of saying "Ashley Furniture HomeStore Pavilion" as we were of typing it) on Tuesday, October 8.

The band will be touring in support of its forthcoming 13th studio album, Delta Machine, which is scheduled for U.S. release on March 26. The video for the album's first single, "Heaven" debuted on YouTube on January 31. Director Tim Saccenti does a great job matching the gothy pitch of the song, which sounds like classic Mode: moody, subdued, with just a pinch of opulent melodrama.

"I am very happy with how the album turned out," Martin Gore says in a statement issued by Columbia Records, the band's label. "The music has a similar vibe to Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion, and I think the songs on the album are among some of the very best we've done."

"The album has a very organic and direct feel to it," Gahan says. "It's not a blues record, but it definitely has a soulful vibe. During the recording process, we really tried to get the elements of performing and the live show into the album more."

Ticket information has not been announced yet. We'll bring it to you when it is.

Update: Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 6th on LiveNation.com.

Can't wait 'til October to get in the mood for Mode?
